Bob’s cellar. Young dark red. Rich, warm cassis nose, lightly oaked with a peppery spiciness. Full spicy opening flavours, tannin is present and correct, brambles, redcurrant hidden notes, still very young but beautiful warm old school Barosaa Shiraz. Love it!

A brief note - started very tannic as a pnp. As it opened up the tannins mellowed and red fruit appears, black fruit too but more muted. Felt very young but a good start. Needs more time.

Quick arrival check on a new case. This is sweet and ripe, like Aussie Shiraz is. The wine does not have much complexity now beyond dark and red fruit and oak spices. The tannins are remarkably polished for the young age. What I like here is that there are no overripe pruney notes and with 13.9%, the Alc. is remarkably low for a Barossa Shiraz. I know these wines age well and then complexity emerges. Suggest to not waste your money on a bottle this young but drink this after 2030.

Solid chunky Shiraz, amazed it lasted 5 days in the fridge with 3-4 check ins, no ox, all good, packed with fruit. Great fun.
