Right in the middle of its citrus-laden, ripplingly acidic youth and the nutty maturity of aged Hunter semillon. A really nice wet stone quality on the nose with some white flowers and a bit of almond skin. Palate’s still bursting with energy and vivacity, a lemon/lime explosion that has a nice oily mouthfeel. I feel like, blind, you could absolutely mistake this for a good Burgundy producer’s Givry/Saint-Aubin/other Côte de Beaune offering given the way it’s made - all at 11% alcohol. Would love to see the fully developed version of this but delicious now.
