Lots of sediment in each botttle- be sure to strain. Dark fruits, pepper, straw, and a little...mushroom? Tannins are much more present than in the 2016, and less red fruit. They are there but a little oppressed by the tannins. May need a little more air than past Vicariouses.
Update: have had a few bottles now, not my favorite vintage of this perennial go-to.

As noted by others, lots of sediment. An enjoyable blend, but the varieties aren’t seamlessly working together yet. A few more years may be helpful.

Tons of sediment. Dark in the glass. Black fruit on the nose and predominantly on the palate as well. Just OK.
