The moment you open it a thick, syrupy aroma - like that of a dessert wine fills the air - but do not be mistaken. This is a special wine.
Known for its reds, the Musar Blanc is a treat for the senses. Earthy, mushroomy with a hint of petroleum after the first swirl. The taste is dense, wondefully dry and quite the contrast to the original expectation of sweetness by the senses. It's as if the wine fills up more volume that you realise as you sip it. There are layers here of the basic tastes and aromas and the complexity evolves as the wine is kept for a while.
Ends with a medium finish where the taste has taken over from the nose.
This is a wine to be experienced, and the 2014 seems to be well poised to drink now or store for a while.

Color: light gold Nose: definitely sherry like with raisin, honey, toasted almond and hazelnut, brown butter, a lot of wet stone Palate: medium-high acidity and medium-full body, the wine is nicely balanced. Not giving in terms of fruit aroma, nevertheless it has a great complexity and evolution with air, hinting at subtle citrus and stone fruit against the honey and raisin backdrop. Feels salty Finish: medium
Oxidative style, this wine is too young now i think. It has the structure to age a lot, and i think it will show more and more depth with time. The beautiful honey nutty core here is worth the ticket price. Needs a lot of air at this stage, it's wasted if served cold
