Greenish gold straw; nose of lemon verbena, mint, chive, and sour cream- I was wondering where the baked potato was; tons of creamy grapefruit on the palate, still lively though the time in bottle really made this a magnificent example of aged SB.

Light gold with faint green flecs; slight tropical notes of guava and pineapple, lemon, ripe grapefruit, wet grass and hint of tarragon and jalepeno; medium + body, fairly rich, round, but good medium+ acidity. 2nd day: held up nicely, still fairly round, grassy, forward tropical notes with grapefruity citrus notes. Surprisingly this did not match as well as i thought it might with an arugula salad with chicken and egg.

Packed with tropical fruit and grapefruit, rich for a Sancerre. The grapefruit and minerals continue on the long finish. Excellent - lives up to its $22 price.

Judiciously oaked backing attractive, deft fruit, plush, soft acidity making this eminently drinkable, right now.
