Wine Watch Best of 2008 Tasting (Ft. Lauderdale, FL): Didn't get much on the nose, but intense fruit on the palate featuring grapefruit with some tropical fruit notes, but with enough restraint to keep it in balance. Very nice if you like the NZ style as I do.
Unscrewed and poured. Light hue. Prominent aromas of gooseberries and grapefruit. Nice concentration with an acidic zing that is noticeable yet doesn't push the limits. Grapefruit, hints of tropical fruit and vegetal flavors (green bell pepper) coat the palate. Not very complex but a delight to drink on a hot Summer evening. Well made Kiwi Sauv Blanc.
