Deeper gold; the nose shows the exotic notes you want except it picked up a certain mustiness from these terrible corks most Germans used in this era, they dry out they fail they’re corky or in this circumstance impart an off flavor of the cork but not cork taint, the wine was still in tact but the nose was hard to tolerate because the wine underneath was still so delicious and powerful, Auslese weight with such driving acid gave this a much drier impression than what I knew it to actually be; a great wine but bummed Diam came so late in the game.

Very young, with a light spritz. Huge sweetness upfront, with razor-sharp acidity catching up in the mid-palate. This is a big wine, that lies when it claims to be a lowly Spatlese. White cherry, lime. Very rich. Very primary. Very good, but so painfully young and lacking tertiary characteristics. Next day, still showed beautifully--power, acids, and rich fruit.
Edit: What Salil said.
Update: 2 days later, whoa! Explosive nose of tropical fruit (pineapple, guava), apple, stone fruit (peach, apricot). An amazing richness of fruit on the palate. Powerful, complex, and racy.
Hold.

Similar to my note from February. This is drinking well, although this bottle was not as electric as my last one.
