The Return to the Ledbury (The Ledbury, London): A bit of a unicorn of a wine and sort of those rare experiences. No premox in sight here. The wine is indeed on the fresh side of things too albeit it is well into it secondary phase. Elegant, effortless beauty. The fruit is there albeit evolved, soft stone fruit, citrus and with a mineral edge. Any oak used in the elevage has long been assimilated and the wine just sang the classic elegant tune of well aged Burgundy. Not overtrying and in a way asking you to come in a look for the different elements. Now is it worth the hyped pricing, probably not but still an excellent wine and a solid 93-94

Spectacular wine! I do favor high-acid wines; reason for score. Rich lemon-custardy mid-palate with loads of acid clearing the palate and lingering with minerality in a very long finish. Kara and Tyler agreed that the Vaudesir was more integrated. Kara preferred the Chablis, I however, though this wine was nothing short of brilliant.

Pale lemony green. A restrained and rather Chablisian nose with citrusy notes upfront followed by green apple. Crisp and fresh with a medium body, citrus fruit and a minerally aftertaste.

Acker "Paulee" Burgundy Dinner (Capital Seafood - Beverly Hills CA): Paulée style dinner. Magnum. Open for hours but still massively reductive.

Can’t believe this is a 2007! Presents like a 2017.
Fresh. Citrusy. Pear. Green apple. Perfect amount of acidity to have with food. (Roasted chicken tonight.) Some minerality.
Still pale golden color, with no darkening as might expect with this much age.
With I still had another bottle.
