  Glad I picked this up before the prices went astronomical. This is a beauty. As much as I like the Sonoma coast vineyards he works with, lately the AV have been even more my style. This has so much structure and energy for a 12 year old American pinot. And there is enough fruit left, cranberry and strawberry, also some black tea and forest floor. Rebuy if I can find it.

  This one was a lot of fun. Still showing lots of life at ~12 years. From a structure perspective: tannins are well-integrated and acidity is refreshing. I wouldn't call it delicate at all. Nose is full of red fruit and bramble, albeit a bit toned down and more dried/raisinated. Also getting some leather, flowers, cedar, tea-like aromas. Fun and complex. I even think this might be better in a few more years.

  REBUY - YES, still lots of structural. Nice red fruit, with good body. Long finish. Had with Wild Coho Salmon. Very Good.
