I enjoyed reading Tannicbeast's review and agree this is drinking very well right now. I opened it about 4 hours ago with the thought that I'd just have a taste and let it sit overnight since I didn't want to decant. I'm now thinking I'll at least save the last half of the bottle for tomorrow. Smooth, rich, dry with just enough fruit and earth. Needless to say I'm enjoying this bottle a lot.

Med + ruby with a purple core and a hint of garnet on the rim. Med + nose of ripe blackberry, plum sauce, a hint of mint, leather, caramel and lots of sweet baking spices from the oak. Dry, but very fruit-forward, with med acidity, med to med (+), smooth, resolved tannins and high alcohol (14.5%). Full-bodied, with med (+) flavor intensity and a nice long finish. At or close to its peak, IMHO, but it should continue to show well for several years. Great QPR from a classic producer.

Opens up to red fruits after about 45 minutes. Drink this wine now. I do not think it will improve much more with age.

Drinking window is now. Dark complex berries, smoky leathery taste. Good QPR. Will order more.
