Opened from a half bottle, the first of a half case of anniversary wines. This note comes from day two--so plenty of air. On the nose: blood orange, orange peel, reddish-dark fruit, constant comment tea. A little herbal complexity. For now, this seems fruit and young and delicious.
On the palate, the tannins are there--for sure. The first few sips yesterday were pretty punishing. More orange peel, pekoe tea, and dark fruit on the palate. This wine is clearly built for the long haul. I'm making sure that the rest of my bottles stay in the back of the cellar.

It nice to have these Heritage bottles in 375 format when not looking to pull a 750. With regards to the wine, this is drinking really well. A balanced zin blend with nice acid that just over delivers on QPR. Easy drinking and firing right out of the gate.
Drink or hold.

For pure consistency of the product in California wine I challenge you to find another producer that puts out delicious, balanced and pure expressions the way Bedrock does. This bottle brings joy and that’s what wine should do.

Solidly very good across the board. Deep dark fruit, strong body, but restrained and balanced. Has a little bit of funk to the nose, and very subtle “fermented” notes on the finish. Great drinking now, will likely be great going forward.

Oh man. Intense fruit profile with a funky berry character. Still very tannic and rather austere on the finish. I keep saying I won’t open these…but here we are.
