Served initially at cellar temp 55F (13C). Deep burgundy/violet - very opaque. Minimum residue in bottle. Long legs. Wonderful nose. Strong fruit - cherry, blackberry. Hints of bitters - chocolate or cola. Medium plus alcohol. Soft, plush, well integrated tannins. Long finish. Excellent now, but has much more life left in it. 92-94 pts. 100% Cabernet, Alexander Valley.

At this point the wine is showing a tremendous amount of heat and moderate tannins and acid. It is medium to full bodied and exhibits both jammy red fruit and black fruit. Long finish. Best to decant for a couple of hours before drinking. Give this one a few more years of cellaring.

Took a while to open up, but after that look out. Some leather, tobacco, and dark fruit on the nose. A little tannic on the palette, smoothed out during the evening and drank exceptionally well.
