Fully mature black cherry with plenty of earth and barnyard, nicely supplemented with black pepper, clove and black olives. Good weight and length, even if slightly drying on the finish. I enjoyed this more last time tasted in 2011.

This is still a lovely wine to drink. On opening there is some nice barnyard/funk on the nose. This becomes a bit more subtle with time, but remains through some nice savory notes on both the nose and palate. This is still a lovely deep dark color, with a thin fingernail miniscus. Powerful perfumed nose of leather, barnyard, burnt wood. Very smooth and long on the palate, with a nice medium to long finish. This went really well with lamb shank and roasted Kohlrabi. Tasting very nice after dinner as well, with perhaps a slight bitter note at the end that barely detracts from what is otherwise a lovely wine. Given the price this is fantastic.

Just a little fading at the rim with a translucent edge, Opaque but not especially dense at the core. Strong legs. Some pepper, spice and meaty notes on the nose, the fruit is taking the background now, but blends with the development in quite an attractive way. The last of the tannin just brushes the end of the tongue, the finish could be longer, but this is very enjoyable

Still drinking well with plum, smoke , and meat. This bottle has a lot of band-aid brett, but i don"t mind.

Double Blind Wine Dinner @ Le Provençal (Le Provencal, Miracle Mile, Coral Gables,FL): The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. It smells like cherry, raspberry, forest floor, mineral, black pepper, oak and violet. The body is full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. Pablo's Red.
