This is dark, port-like, and oaky. Eleveated VA, too. I guess a lot of folks like this style, but this is nearly undrinkable to me. I've had some other Turleys with some age that were Ok, but this wasn't one of them. Felt the same about a 2003 Dusi that I had a few years back.

Had a mini-vertical with a 2007 Dusi. The 2008 showed more fruit, surprisingly more for only being one year younger. Dark, full flavored, mellowed tannins and no heat despite alcohol level. I'd give a slight edge to the 2007 but maybe it's because I tasted that one first. Both were delicious and nicely complemented grilled rack of pork.

(Vertical Dusi tasting at Turley.) Less mature than the ‘09 Dusi with some still-to-be-resolved tannins at the back end. Full bodied. Black and dark blue fruits with a substantial finish. Shows significant promise. Drink 2021-2026. Worth Seeking Out.
Had this bottle for 8 years, sometimes stored in good cool and dark conditions, but sometimes not. It was still great. Deep purple in color, heady full mouth flavor of dried cherry. Great winemaking wins out as always.

Opened for SC strategy session. Wow, deep, dark, massive cave of dark jam and fruit. Blacks of immense depth and brooding lagoon of thick unctuous fruit.
