Drunk w. pork shoulder raviolo, grapefruit puree and braised chicory. The food calmed down the sweetness on this. Still young and relatively unyielding at first. A few glasses the following day were much more giving and open. Electrifying wine - huge acidity, huge sweetness. Just starting to show a touch of waxy, creamy development but I think this'll happily go another 20 years or so if I can make my remaining 8 bottles last that long...

A very rare sunny Sunday evening. Limpid colour green with hints of gold. Stunningly fresh meadows limes and citrus some petrol but restrained sweetness. Great depth but lightness at the same time, medium sweet but fresh and singing acidity. Fab wine.

Out of half-bottle from Evan Meyers cellar. Just a great, refreshing wine with amazing bracing acids even in this 15-year old wine. Lovely lime and orange fruit with a strong dose of petrol on the intense, complex finish. Such a succulent and juicy wine - I could drink this for breakfast. Still young and fresh.

I think this was the last wine of the night at JB's! It was very sweet and sugary and really inmpressed our host who proclaimed it as the most intense wine he'd ever tasted.

Beautiful, more conventionally sweet auslese, concentrated and precise, but overshadowed by the Prum
