Day 1: Light wine. Features pear, mineral, pineapple and match stick. Easy drinker and drink young. Day2: Not much better. This is below the quality of Dr. Loosen Dr. L which is the same essential price point (a little higher) Recommendation: By Dr. Loosen Dr. L Riesling for less. Typically $8.99 in the Minneapolis Market.

Rheingau - visiting Leitz & Breuer (Rudesheim): {screwcap, 10% } A US market bottling/labelling, with 40g/l of RS and slightly developing nose of custard aromas. The sugar seems very evident on the plate, although that’s likely context as much as anything. Honeyed on the palate; lacks the spine of the other wines tasted. Still, it has just enough gentle acid to hold it together, is light/medium-bodied, off-dry in character, with a short/medium length finish. Look, objectively, not bad. Wonder what it costs in the US?

Great stuff for the price and the level. Excellent with a slightly spicy Thai food lunch on a hot summer day.

Bit of sugar, overwhelming lemon. Some custard/curd notes. High acidity.
