This still looks and acts like a young wine. The fruit is still intact and pleasurable. Huge acids and smooth tannins, asks for a tomato sauce. Like an old fashioned Piemontese wine without manipulation, but with a more modern cleanliness. On the simple side, but very tasty.

Question is does this 2010 Chionetti still have any life left after what seems too long to wait to open this dolcetto? After opening, yes, probably better two years ago. That being said I'm enjoying a glass right now. The fruit has either stewed a bit here or vanished into the ether. There's very little grip left on the palate but overall this is still a pleasure to sniff and taste. The nose is savory showing off some tapenade, very ripe cherries, and green pepper. The palate is wrecked. Most of the structure, the tannin and acid, are fading. Still enjoyable but not great. Past it's prime but you can still enjoy a well-kept bottle into late winter of this year. Another good bottle from The Garagiste. Cheers, Boys & Girls.

A wine with great tension and lightness while still quite intense as well as focused. Fresh with cherries, hints of dolcetto bitterness and licorice. Maybe not the most complex but very drinkable and enjoyable in every way.

Very nice with pizza. Good structure. Inky and bold and herbal aromatics
