Monthly Tuesday group #002: Châteauneuf du Pape (By MN): Mature bouquet with coffee, chocolate, autumn forest, some celery and rustic flavors. On the palate there are still some faint fruits, garrigue, sweet spices like cinnamon, anise and loads of sweet chocolate. There is still good acidity and soft tannin. This bottle was at the end of its maturity stage, but still pleasurable. If it is exemplary; drink up. No score.

Boekenhoutskloof Winemakers dinner. (@ Bottles; Sas van Gent, Netherlands): Ripe and soft. Mature and delicious wine. No more specific notes, but this was a beautiful and juicy wine with good acidity and soft tannin.

2007 France Trip - Bois de Boursan, St. Prefert, Roger Perrin (Southern Rhone): Chocolate-covered cherries and cinnamon. Huge power and fruit. Sweet and spicy. Mouth-coating. Heavy.
