Sine Qua Non (SQN) Magnum Extravaganza + Bevan, Mike Smith, Sparkling/Champagne, and others (Calistoga): From magnum. Kirsch/cherry water, strawberry seed, red brick, Kauai red dirt, prosciutto, and hints of wet wood. Similar flavor profile to the ‘00 Flagrante and ‘01 Ventriloquist, but with more comparative depth and intensity, especially mid-palate. The Incognito’s finish was longer and stronger than the other two as well.
Definitely on the down side of the aging cycle. Drink now.

Pretty much pnp. Opened the bottle for an hour before we started drinking. Like seemingly all SQN wines this was powerful, big, dark, brooding but in perfect harmony and balance. Mostly Grenache, this wine explodes from the glass - kirsch, dark berries, spice, chocolate, minerals. First time having this and it was off the charts.

Mike Grammer comes to town (Galletto Ristorante, Modesto Ca.): I true JOY to try this! AMAZING wine here! The age has mellowed this out…pretty and somewhat feminine now….tasty red liqueured berry fruits…kirsch, licorice, florals galore…lavender, white flowers…..classic Alban Vineyard tar still shows…white pepper spices…..balanced to perfection! Great mouthfeel and layered with complexity…..just flat out tasty!

Drinking incredibly well. Amazing nose, lots of dark fruits, delicious. This is the second bottle I have drunk in last few weeks on different sides of the planet, both were exceptional, think it still has many years left.

Terrific showing. Aging beautifully. Held its own next to Inaugural Grenache and Ode to E Grenache.
