WOTN during our Holiday party last night. Popped and poured. Not giving much on the nose, but very tasty. Nice weight and slightly fleshy texture - medium to full bodied - lively acidity although not as zingy, nor as complex as the Colson Canyon single vineyard. Tangy berry flavors persist for quite a while - nice medium finish across the whole palate. Also got a little spice and a little earth, not so much meat. Definitely a prelude to what the Colson Canyon will bring. Well priced at about $23/bottle. Would consider buying a case because I've brought it to 3 parties now and everyone has really enjoyed it. Did notice that the flavors continued to expand thru the evening. Next time, I think i'll open it about 1.5 hours prior to serving and see if the nose opens up. I'll serve it once more this season on Christmas eve and report back with impressions.

Very expressive on the nose, with black fruits predominant. Rich and full on the palate but not overextracted...delicious. My first Tensley and I'm impressed.

So sorry that these were the last two bottles. Wine was a wonderful example of a California Syrah.

Great nose, but still a bit closed; could use some more time
