Still a big wine and still drinking well. Blueberry and bubble gum fruit. Some tar and burnt pie, black pepper and vanilla. Some alcohol noticeable but not distracting. Low acidity but still pleasant, nice silky mouthfeel. Lengthy finish. Tasty juice.

Three years did some beautful things for this. Open for an hour, not decanted. Beautiful purple color, mostly clear, medium body. Fruity, bacony aroma, ultrasmooth texture, coffee balances well with bacon and raspberry notes, little acid, little pepper. Smooth fruity finish. Drinks so well right now, wish I had more.

Really came together since the last tasting! Rich black berry and cola with wonderful pepper and mocha flavors. Well integrated tannins with pleasant finish.

Very Nice balance and structure. Mouth coating but not overwhelming. Rich black fruits on the palate. This bottle had a what seems to be typical slight funk on the nose that many Novy wines have had for me.
