What a terrific bottle. This wine has improved since the last time I tasted it, several years back. (Perhaps bottle variation?) Lovely, complex, aged Burgundy with ample bouquet and a good acidic backbone. Label indicates 12.5 abv, but it definitely felt higher. Glad I held on to this. Great with food, or on its own. For me, solid Bourgogne are some of the best wine deals around. I’ll give it a 90 for the sheer pleasure which ensued after the cork pull.

Juicy and supple, with a clean glycerine edge. This bottle shows great color, with a hint of brick coming at the edge, but you have to look hard. Spice and earth, leather & shroom, good mid-palate impression, round with a zingy finish. Acidic structure in good balance with fruit. A clear sense of place. Freaking Aye, quite nice. I wouldn't mind additional aromatics, though... purchased on release at VVW in Palo Alto and cellared at 55 degrees. Im happy

Tasted from Schott-Zwiesel burgundy glasses, not decanted. Red cherries on the nose, bright red color. Great fruit and acidity on the palate. Really enjoyed this especially for a mid-week wine. I'm thinking about serving it with pork tenderloin.

Still beautiful. Red cherries dominate the nose, while crisp acidity supports the clean fruit on the palate.
