  • Raisins and ripe plum on the nose. Monolithic on the palate. Lacked verve and complexity. Drinkable but didn't really invite another sip. Maybe better a few years ago.

  • Hotter and more phenolic than I expect from littorai. Some new oak? Very savory and thick. Showed poorly the second day, with either oak or perhaps steminess coming through.

  • Nice nose. Aged, plummy mouth that is rich and full, if not excellently complex. Nice length, where the age seems to ring most loudly. No points for complexity, but makes up for it in prettiness.

  • Fall 2014 Sojourn Pinot dinner with Duck. (Peking Duck House, Mott Street, NYC): better than the first one we shared that was corked. I was anxious.
medium light in color with some age some age, the nose showed dried red raspberries and a hint of orange peel. Fully resolved tannins and decent acidity, this seems a bit past it's prime. Probably quite nice 4-5 years ago. Smoke them if you got them.

  • I drink a lot of Pinot and this is the real stuff! I wish a lot more "real" Burgundy tasted half as nice. And its from overthetop California (read shock and awe.....)

Wonderful from the first whiff to the last loooong lingering finish, this complex, nuanced, balanced bottle was great (and according to Ted, this isn't even one of the ones he's most proud of).

Notes of hi toned flowers, earthy moss, sweet fruit, giving way to spices and a complex blend of flavors that while light on the palate pack a focused and prolonged "punch". Its at that mid point between fruit and savory with elements of both. A great combination to catch so if you have a few bottles in your cellar, try one now and see what that's all about. Smashing!!

Tasted (and reviewed here) several years ago, it has most definitely continued to improve with additional cellar time (it was great then, even better now). Bravo.
