A light gold in appearance, the nose is developed, with an overlay of sweet, spicy notes, with white peach, pear, quince, apple, and hints of white flowers. On the palate, acidity is surprisingly high, almost masking flavours of sour apples. The finish is saline and mineral.. You can't really fault it , and it slips down easily ( almost imperceptibly!). A value entry level Macon, reliable, but lacking a bit of body, and character!

Pleasantly surprised quality has stayed consistent with this bottling. Acid driven chardonnay with lemons, mineral, and firm pear. Open and textured palate. Slightly short finish.

$13 (Costco) Burgundy white 2021 Louis Jadot Mâcon-Villages. Sharp mid-green gold, some viscosity (12.5 alc.); peach, lime, tropical nose; mid acids; mid-body; semi-short green fruit and citrus finish. w/appetizers. 15.5 UC Davis scale, 89 other scales.

Expressive on the nose, lots of flowers, stones, and unripe fruit (lemons, limes, pears) on the nose. The palate lacks character, it’s slightly thin as well. The ‘21 vintage was extreme and lots of fruit was affected by frost or hail. Being this far south in the Macconais I expected slightly more expressive fruit on the palate. However, for the price range this wine is an enjoyable and palatable wine. A good value example of Chardonnay from Burgundy for the price. Overall: 86

Loved this wine, perfect balance, lush fruit and acidic foundation... Notably better than the 2022 I think...
