Initially subdued both nose and palate--clean, gives more an inkling that a strong impression on all fronts--citrus, minerality, very light yellow fruit/melon, lovely balance but not a particular strong suit anywhere. That said, about 45 minutes into the bottle (and dinner) layered richness developed along with nice body and more pronounced flavor profile across the board. Recommend serving a bit warmer than normal perhaps, allow air time and patience. Pretty interesting that two years on from ROCKNROLLER review, I see Day 2 notes align well with my impressions once the wine got its feet under it.

I liked this and it has decent typicality but it does not completely light my Sancerre light the way that is has for others. Wondering if it might be the bottle as I really like this producer. Score with held for now. Look forward to revisiting.

It's Too Damn Hot to Drink Reds (Again) (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Pale straw color. Drank 1 glass over an hour and revisited a couple days later. I liked this the first day, finding it interesting and fairly complex though it was somewhat more heavy handed on the palate. The citrus profile and acidity had some bite, not overt grapefruit, but trending that way. Today this was so much nicer, there was a roundness to the palate that was much more even and controlled. Everything that was there in complexity seemed brighter and more expressive yet. The fruit profile is more complicated and nuanced with a mix of citrus and green orchard fruits with plenty of earthy saline infused mineral notes. Initially this was 90pts, and now feels closer to 92pts. This already has some age on it, and this would suggest there is an upside to some additional aging.

Orchard fruits, somewhat lush mid palate, but very good acidity as well.

Last minute get together (Kevin's house): This reminded me of a NZ Sauvignon blanc. Grass and grapefruit.
