(Corliss Estates Red Wine Columbia Valley) A very pretty, seductive nose with cedar, dust, coffee bean, caramel, and black cherries. A big but beautifully integrated wine plush with black cherry fruit accented by silky oak flavors. A thirty-plus second finish. 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 9% Malbec, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Petit Verdot. Red Mountain, Stillwater, Weinbau, Northridge, Bacchus, and Stonetree vineyards. Aged 33 months in French oak (73% new). 14.9% alcohol. 450 cases produced.

30 minutes in the glass. A very nice Left Bank Bordeaux blend with a hefty 9% Malbec and 7% PV. As might be expected, plenty of black overripe fruits, but some of the red and blue fruits were in the background. Not nearly as great a wine as the Cab Sauv from this vintage, but still a crowd pleaser.

Better than the bottle I had at the beginning of last year. I would say that this wine is in its prime drinking window. The cork broke upon extraction so I poured it into a decanter and let it sit for three hours. The nose was dark fruit with hints of spice. The palate was dark berries, dark plums, tobacco, a touch of wood and a hint of spice. The finish was smooth and moderate to long. Served with a pork roast which had been stuffed with proscuitto, cheese and spices.

Absolutely delicious, ripe, juicy, well-integrated. decanted and consumed pretty quickly.

The palate was dark berries, dark plums, tobacco, a touch of wood and a hint of spice. The finish was smooth and moderate to long in length. A most enjoyable bottle of wine.

This bottle never opened up like others I’ve had and has been the first one that seemed off. Very hot and not well-integrated.
