Total spring nose of strawberries and classic mushrooms. Light bodied, strawbery popsicle. The mid palate brings about mushrooms, smoked prosciutto. This is a good introduction to Beaujolais for those that want a classic representation. Paired with Camembert and Dutch Gouda.

2009 really is shaping up to be a cracking vintage for this region. This is definately one of the better bottles I have had for Beaujolais - white pepper nose with red fruit, but with depth and persistence. Very good.
