Ok, we did not pour in any OJ this morning... Merry Christmas to all (who read this!)! Année 2013, disgorged 11/21. 50: 50 Pinot and Chard. Light red trending towards salmon color. After the nose of red berries and flowers comes this amazing sensation of REALLY tiny bubbles (is that a song?). Grapefruit, green apple, strawberry and chalk just float on those bubbles!

Antica Terra Collective Tasting (Brick Hall, Dayton, OR): Just a step behind the Hebrart served before it, the color gives away it's blend and leads into the berries and flowers. Then yellow citrus, minerals and chalk round it out. Denise's fave of this pair.

Delicious nose on jam and roses. Fine but lively bubble.
Straight and energetic on the palate, always with the sensation of drinking raspberry coulis with additional bubbles and freshness. Fine and compact material that still takes a little time to untie. Nice balance with a finely acidic frame that ends with a floral finish and a decent length.
I really like this rosé while I am often skeptical about other rosés from the same region from more exclusive cuvées. Here the wine is easy, on delicious and fresh fruit, which makes the bottle empty very quickly.

Captivating and intense red colour. Muscular. Red berries, dark flowers, herbs, minerals and mint. Bit steely. Dry finish. A different rose champagne for sure. Unfortunately I was unable to really give this all the attention that it needed. Will try again.

(NV Geoffroy Champagne Blanc de Rose Extra Brut) Light medium orange pink color with steady, tiny bubbles; light cherry soda, raspberry cream nose; raspberry cream, light cherry soda palate; medium finish (50/50 co-maceration of Chardonnay & Pinot Noir, all 2010 fruit, disgorged 6/12)
(NV Geoffroy Champagne Blanc de Rose Extra Brut) Light medium pink color with abundant mousse; floral, tart cherry, raspberry, sous bois nose; rich, tart cherry, raspberry, mineral, cherry cream palate, very vinous; medium-plus finish 90+ points
(NV René Geoffroy Blanc de Rosé Brut) ($122.00) Welcome to this exciting newcomer! It’s a Rosé with white and red grapes co-macerated, all ’08, disgorged 2/10, 58% CH and 42%PN, much drier than the “regular” Rosé – and the wine is superb; limpid, complex, detailed, spectral breakdown of citrus, flower, corn chips (!), cool forest herbs (wood sorrel, chervil) and a long, quintessentially Champagne finish. Quite the maiden voyage. And Jean-Baptiste envisions a longeraged version eventually.

Superbe rosée de saignée avec du caractère mais bien équilibré. Acidité bien balancée
