Popped and poured. Aromas of black fruit with slight garrique. Rich, sappy flavors of blackberries and tar. Some licorice in the bittersweet finish. Rich, mature, firm backbone, powerful flavors. Delightful, classic CcP, still going strong.

This 2007 is finally emerging from the long sleep. Previous attempts over last 3-4 years have been disappointing. The fruit now breaks through with floral violet and perfume grounded in earthiness. Next time I will decant for a for hours before drinking. I'll bet this vintage has a decade to go. Tasty.

Beautiful chateauneuf from texier, with a dense, core of mushroom and forest floor, and still lively rich blackberry fruit.
