Odd, tart, bitter. I like CdP that are on the less ripe side of the spectrum, but the winemaking here is deeply weird, and goes way beyond “restraint”. Like the Syrah playbook was unthinkingly applied to Grenache and Mourvèdre. So many better options, especially for the price.

Intense perfumed nose, wide open at the moment. Fairly clean. Notes of flowers, herbs, and bitter chocolate. Excellent mouthfeel, long and complex. ABV 13.5% with just a touch warmth at finish. No over-extraction or excess alcohol. Well manner CDP for a change. Enjoyable.

Burgundian, cherry, red berries, mint, fresh. Silky mouthfeel, red fruits, medium acid. Citrus quality in the mouthfeel. Lovely.
