This is drinking well now. Not your typical merlot you might be used to drinking from CA. This NY Merlot is a world class wine. Long finish, not a fruit bomb and very smooth. Loved it.

This was a very good wine. Popped and poured, but opened along with a Mayo Merlot, so was able to watch this wine change over time. Very hot at first, and firm tannins were very prevalent, but over the next couple hours it smoothed out considerably. Oakiness started to come through, as did the typical Long Island "salty fruit" finsih. Excellent food wine.

A good long island memory. Not overly complex, but nice nose and soft berries. Super light finish.
