  • Never had such an extreme Paprika Pepper nose and even on the palate, otherwise distinct wood and acid, alltogether not my cup of tea.

  • Red at the rim, tending to black at the centre - slight SA nose. This needs an hour in the decanter to show well. The palate is nicely fresh, but with a slight degree of sweetness, still quite evident tannins, quite precise and not muddy, this wine could do with a few years cellaring yet.

  • Slightly bretty and leathery nose but not off-putting. Sweet spice, ground coffee, hints of florality and pepperiness are coated within a very Bordeaux-like cedar aroma. Balanced use of oak does not overwhelm fruit. Palate has freshness of fruit, loose tannins and gives a refreshing and clean finish. Drinkable right away. Beautiful wine with maybe a little too much cedar aromatics, but still a nice wine.

  • Evolved with evident herbaceousness of cedar and bell peppers followed by black fruit, cigar box and evident new oak which is actually 100% new. Combines power with finesse due to good balance between bright acidity, medium+ ripe and chewy tannins against generous alcohol and medium full body. Some complexity has already revealed. A cross of N World with Old World in style.
