Popped n poured tonite. Pale garnet color, with some bricking. Slightly intense nose of red fruits and spice. On the light/elegant side, with crisp acidity, raspberries and tart cherries, pepper and spice. Tangy and spicy is what comes to mind here, if a bit too light for my taste.

Medium garnet. Discrete nose of earth, red fruit, spices. Enters the palate quite light for a Chbt but with tangy tannins and acidity. Some anise on the finish. Ripe and elegant but needs time for all the components to come together and soften. Typical Chambertin, allow some cellar time. After 2019.

(Frederic Esmonin Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St. Jacques) Dark ruby color; appealing black cherry, berry, light caramel oak nose; ripe, luscious, black raspberry, soft cherry, raspberry palate with balance; good now and should go 10+ years; medium-plus finish

Drinking well now. Ripe, and with some heat, but still shows its terroir well. Very nice with skirt steak.

Chalk and sap, and pretty red fruits. Nicely resolved.

This has arrived! No longer overbearing, but still offering generous and harmonious aromas, fruit, and flavor. Drinking so well right now.
