  • FW-BYOB-HT#2: ¤FW - This really embodies what I love about northern Rhone. A spicy nose, generous fruit but a fresh and cool style!

Lots of black pepper, raw golden chanterelles, green pepper sausage with some fennel. But there is also plenty of fruit, currants, blackberries and wild strawberries.
Palate is very dry, but with a round, just slightly mature supple fruit, really good intensity and a fresh long finish. Great harmony and balance, and this really hit the spot for me.

  • – tasted a single glass non-blind over approx. 10 min. –
    – 100% Syrah –

NOSE: ripe fruits; boysenberry; spicy; hint of black pepper.
TASTE: more red-fruited than the Gaillard VdP from the same parcel, and this one has stronger tannins, too; juicy; good acid; 12.5% alc..
