EWG - 2001: A Taste Odyssey (Conrad Green's Abode): Still fat fruited on the nose with a lot of apples. Fatter fruited than the Christoffel and in need of more bottle time for its best. Sweet apple flavors with the sugar in reserve. Very nice if still a baby.

This is the real deal. Slightly sweet, medium bodied and absolutely balanced. On the nose, loemon, pear, white flowers. The wine is wonderfully viscous, slightly sweet with a gentle honey, citrus and fleshy body. Just enough acid to stop it becoming blowsy and a long delicate finish. A really beautiful wine that is subtlety personified. A great apperitif and would work well with a delicate dessert or fruit salad. Great to drink now but it will be fascniating to see how this ages.

Rich, earthy notes, tropical and pineapple in there too; less acidity but thicker body; tangy finish. Lower Nahe.
