2007. Nose conservatively offers up cherry, strawberry, earth, and a bit of woodsmoke. This carries most its weight in the mouth showing dark cherry and raspberry, chocolate, spice and a hit of heat. Mid palate void seems to make the alc more prevalent.

Rather thin and alcoholic. I'm not sure this winery is justified in the high opinion it has of itself, but the jury is still out. This wine is fine, just not in the same class as others in the evening's tasting.

Lighter on the nose, with soft fruit - raspberries, cherries - neither too tart or sweet. Gains weight across the palate - it's earthy and robust, almost port-like in texture, with a rich mouth feel finishing similar red fruits and chocolate. As others have mentioned there's great texture with this wine. I think 07s have been unfortunately criticized and I suspect people will scratch their heads and wonder what the "issues" were as they get back to wines like this - really excellent bottle.

Decanted 2 hours and consumed over 8 hours; ’07 & ’08 vertical. Best from hours 2 – 4. The ’07 is outstanding and is perhaps the best PN from Oregon that I’ve had from this otherwise so-so vintage. Floral with some dusty complexity that isn’t often found in most 2007’s. Light in style but with solid structure; best from hours 2 – 4. Drink now. 92 pts.
