Superb. I like this style. Juicy ripe nectarine, and sublime yellow peach. I think it held up very well. Softer side, and silky as could be, but man, if stored properly, this can go on another few years, but why would you wait? Enjoy with not so spicy Nepalese, or even Indian food. Mine purchased on release, so held up well. Tasty.

I've had a number of Alban whites, and have thought past versions were underrated in many quarters, but this is probably my favorite. As other tasters have noted, this bottling is fresh and has a pleasant streak of acidity. Like prior versions, the wine still is full-bodied, and quite complex. Because it is perhaps a bit over the top and maybe disjointed, some will hate it, but the acidity here adds an extra dimension. It's Californian, and its bouquet has classic floral Viognier notes, but in certain respects I find it somewhat akin to an FX Pichler "M" bottling.

It looks unfiltered, with a pear-apricot color. Aromatically, this viognier has a ton going on. At first I got a shot of lemonade and some peanut shell. With time the aromas got bigger and more complex, showing honeysuckle, pixie stix, oil and apricot. This wine is big and bold on the palate, but the most surprising thing about this wine is the acid... delicious! Tangy acid provides balance to the apricot, lemon zest and papaya flavors. The fruit flavors are accented with almond shell and honeycomb. Tremendous weight, but the balance is so impressive for a Central Coast viognier. Not gloppy or overpowering at all. On the second day the wine got even more complex and seductive, showing even more honeysuckle and some lychee. I would love to try this wine again in five years to see how this complex flavors unravel. Drank with Bob while watching Shark Week. Nice.

Not sure what this is supposed to taste loke but think it was flawed. Certainly went down the drain.
