No decant. In a good drinking range now. Musty earth on the nose but not the palate. Still some freshness and fruit blended with leather. As it opened up, musty nose and bitterness increased. My recommendation is that you not decant.

Great nose from the moment the waiter opened the bottle. We took it to Blackfish in Conshohocken, PA for an early Valentine's Day dinner. Although excellent flavors immediately, the wine smoothed out and the fruit took over even more with about a hour (no decanting). Outstanding wine! Wish we had more.

This last bottle has to get a 93 score. Incredible pairing with 'côte de veau de lait de corèze sous la mère' , tarte tatin of oven dried tomatoes and forrestmushroom papardelle. I really made a mistake with this wine. I did not see the complexity emerging a couple of years ago. Super complexity and magnificint sangiovese accidity making a wonderful pairing with tomatoes. Classic Brunello at its peak
