I am usually not a big fan of off-dry wines, but this must have been one of the best ones I ever had.
Dark yellow colour. Intense palate with apricot, marzipan, honey, minerals, decent acidity, a hint of smoke, as well as little botrytis. Not too sweet or jammy at all. Also, surprisingly not as mature as expected, this still has plenty of life left

Solid but not a great showing; there's good complexity here with burnished and smoky flavours augmenting the rich fruit and gentle honeyed elements, but it doesn't have the acidity I'd expect from the vintage and leaves me wanting a bit more cut and energy.

Comes across fully mature, deep yellow in colour and showing barely any sweetness at this stage with gentle orchard fruit flavours framed by savoury developed earthy, smoky and creamy notes. There's a faint stony mineral undercurrent and bright acidity here, and this is really enjoyable right now, though I think I'll open my last bottle fairly soon.

Really beautiful & very well integrated. Balance and beauty is the hallmark here. Gorgeous wine. Remarkably fresh with killer acidity.

After a young Muller-Catoir Scheurebe, I recall thinking "it is good and all, but ho-hum."
