Light Lemmon color. Medium + intensity on the nose of summer and tropical fruit - Mellon, lyche, guava and pinapple even. On the pallete is medium ++ in sweetness - as you would expect from an auslese at only 9%. Decent acidity prevents it from being clawing. Low in alcohol, medium body and medium + length. This is meant to be one of the better auslese out there. The acidity helped, but was little too sweet for my taste. Am far from being a Reisling expert (am trying to learn) but my guess would be it’s may need to be stored for a few years to let it slow a little and the sweetness be dialed back a tad.

Medium straw - vibrant color. Nose: less prominent TDN. Sweet lemon. Hint of saffron and dried honey botrytis.
On the palate: Sweet: 80g/L, slight frizzante, 8% alcohol, strong mineral note (almost bitter - like flat pellegrino). Very nice and long. Ripe meyer lemon on frozen stones. More prominent TDN on the midpalate.
Spatlese, high quality, 2017 - slight age (not reductive at all), $40.
Fresh and mineral with botrytis notes. Very well integrated.
Actually: 80g, 8%, Auslese. $40. Analysis: my guess of 80g, 8% was inconsistent with Spatlese... I should have mapped it to Auslese.
