I don't know why I didn't consume this bottle 5 years ago. By now it still has an acceptable nose of cedar and tobacco, but the taste and finish is thin and raw.

Pleasant wine for drinking with food. Seemed to gain complexity each day open to day 3 when I finished it. A bit nondescript, since I'm doing this after the fact, no specific flavors come to mind... but I wouldn't say that it was bad... moreso that it was subtle. I'd actually like to get more to see what flavors I can coax out of it.

TWC Does Kermit Lynch Wines from the South of France (Heather & Hugo's): For the vintage a truly incredible wine and a total bargain for the $12 I paid for it. The nose isn't intense at all, it is elegant and beguiling, with cherry and raspberry aromas, but the sum is much more than the individual parts. Perfumed in the mouth, light-bodied, the wine dances on the tongue, with sweet cherry, blackberry and raspberry flavors. Just wonderful for such a modest wine. If only all southern French table wine was this good. Bravo Domaine de Fontsainte, bravo!
