Opened and let sit for about 30 minutes. Grassl Cru stem. Tasted with food (porcinii I risotto and grilled steak and lambchop, in case you were wondering). Tasted o. it's own. Tasted at a dinner with 1990 Beaucastel CdP, 2016 Saxum G2 and 2012 Calera Jensen Pinot. Good ruby red color. Nose offers some earth and spice notes. Solid wine. Showing some dark berry fruit and a savory earthy note. Fading a bit.

Was looking for a Pinot to pair with our salmon dinner. I decided to bypass the California bottles and dug deep into my cellar for a Burgundy. This was pretty good at the 15 year mark. Drank more like a 1er Cru than a Grand Cru but was enjoyable enough and matched well with dinner.

Medium red color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 3 hours plus. Very deeply spiced, in a good way, cherry, underbrush, iron and dried flowers. The palate shows medium body, dried leaves, cherry, underbrush, extic spices, minerals and some dark berries. Drinking well.
