Our first bottle since 2013, I was a bit fearful this one was gone, but we were very pleasantly surprised as this was wonderfully different from our last experience, yet just as rewarding - Dark w/ambering rim, medium bodied with a nose of plum, blackfruit, dust, cherry, cedar and vanilla once it got a bit of air in the glass, well structured with finesse, intensity, complexity, dry on the palate with excellent length, likely at the point where it may not be to everyone's taste, but if you enjoy the full evolution of a wonderful Rioja you're likely good for another 2-3 years (91 Points).

Very typical Gran Reserva nose of stewed cherries and wood/wood spice. Rich and warm in the mouth. More cooked black cherries, plums, wood and spice on the palate. Silky but present tannins slide across the palate with bright acidity. As usual, though woody, this Rioja was an fantastic accompaniment to lentils and chorizo. 90

Better than the last bottle as it is balanced fruit and earthy tones. The acid is moderate and tannins medium fine. Long smooth finish. Good time to enjoy your last bottles.

Beronia consistently offer good quality/value wines, this is no exception, red berries and oak on the nose berries fresh red plums and leather in the mouth and still some acidity, like others the drinking window seems short, plenty of life left in this bottle, good drink for the money.

Hated to see it go; Tasting notes said drink now but I feel it had plenty of life in the balance of fruit, tannin and acidity.
