  • 100% Pinot Noir
    from 1.2 ha in the higher section of 1er Cru Les Teurons
    (between Aux Cras and Les Grèves) with red stony topsoil
    under Demeter certified biodynamic viticulture.
    Vines densely planted ~12,000/ha.
    Fully de-stemmed. Fermentation at temperatures of up to 32°C
    with minimal batonage. Spontaneous malolactic.
    Aged 14-16 months in ~25% new oak.
    Unfined, unfilitered.
    13% Abv.

    Background: Domaine founded by Jacques Rossignol and Mado Trapet
    on their marriage in 1961. Then managed by their sons Nicolas and
    David Rossignol since 1990. Best known for their three Chambertin
    parcels, but also with familial holdings in Cote de Beaune.

    A(ccuray)=2: Med garnet/red. Delicate, refined varietal.
    B(alance)=3: Modulated components in harmony.
    C(omplexity)=2: Red and dark berries, beetroot, incense, mineral.
    D(epth)=1: Savory mouthfeel. Good length and finish.

  • Developed nose and colour. All warmly rounded. Palate sweetly flowing, which really made the wine. Fully ready, but maybe this will also keep for a long time.

  • Trüb, leicht orange an den rndern, aber nur sehr gering angesichts des alters. Stoffig,!fruchtig, schmeckt noch sehr jugendlich. Seidige tannine, sehr fein, mittlerer Körper, würze, perfekt balanciert.mittlere Abgang.

  • Drank over two days. Slightly fizzy when opened perhaps due to a long travel the day before. Very nice the second day. Wet leaves, still plenty of fruit and good acidity. Nice nose, a bit short in the the mouth though.
