Oak has now integrated much better but it might need a few years to reach its full potential. Someone influential said it needed 15 years, and it might turn out to be true.

We opened this tonight and had a couple of glasses. Rich yellow color. Muted pear and apricot nose. Rich pear, lemon and vanilla on the palate. When first tasted the alcohol was noticable. After warming up it was fine. A touch of Marsanne bitterness on the finish. Personally looking for a little more out of this. Still, it was Excellent.

Rich aromas of pears and apricots infused by some honey, wax and nicely integrated oak. Full bodied, relatively low acidity, round and supple, full of fruit and there is a nice complexity from some bottle age as well. Long balanced, persistent finish. I was very impressed by this and it came across much better than expected. It also seems to be in a very good drinking window.

Third time I have this over the last 5 years and by far the best. Oak is integrating and the wine is starting to show more of its origin. Needs more time to reveal its full potential. Give it 2-3 more years. 92-95
