This hasn't budged much in a few years. A bigger, richer Cornas with some wood notes that take time/air to dissipate. Tasty but not the most complex or expressive N. Rhone.

Interesting nose of tar, woodsmoke and violets. Quite a meaty and silky texture with flavors of road tar, smoky black fruits and violets along with hints of game and spice. Finishes grippy and tannic but with a lovely violet spice complexity apparent. Opened up nicely with 2 hours in a decanter but it still needs more time for the serious tannins to ameliorate. This is balanced and not at all overripe and should continue to improve although it is a modern and polished style of Cornas. 92+

Starting to soften up a tad. Still youthful but very pleasant to drink now and for the foreseeable future.
