Still vibrant but with some nice complex development notes, delivers more than the level would suggest, like a decent villages. Better than I expected it to be at this age

Not worth the price. Drinkable. Pleasant nose on first night. Slightly tannic. Slightly acidic. Decent finish. A bit spicy. Bland nose on second night. Lost most of the nose and tannin by day 2.

Garnet with medium viscosity in the glass. Cherry, citrus and pepper on the nose. Medium body with pepper and juicy red fruit on the palate. Decent structure and moderate grip. Medium finish. Drinkable, but immemorable.

Some Lower End 2009 Red Burgundies (The Wine Club, San Francisco): Fairly pale. Pungent, licorice nose. Surprising amount of sap for color, touch of wood char, silky feel. This is no bargain but it is very good for entry level wine and shows the style of the domain.
