Golden colored. Mature nose with musky tones, a slight note of beeswax and quince. Off dry on the palate with considerable weight and acidity to balance exotic fruit and sweetness. Good as an apperitif but can easily accompany lobster and the like.

Golden colored. Nose is complex, developed and of medium intensity with floral aromas (rose petals, jasmine), white peach, quince and mineral tones. Quite full bodied with imperceptible acidity, slightly off-dry but still drier than most wines from the producer I have tasted. Creamy texture. Finishes off slightly bitter and this clashes somehow with the sweetness. High quality wine but not easy pleasing, a little bit difficult to appreciate.

Golden in colour, glowing. Nose: very ripe peaches, almost honeyed, quite impressive. Not really a dry wine in my view, lime notes, fresh, mineral. A bit unbalanced maybe. Good length.

Previous notes cover the wine well. It's good but not great - mature but just slightly unbalanced on the finish.

An Introduction to Germany, A fine Wine Tutored Tasting with Martin Hudson MW (Berry Bros & Rudd, London): Dry but not too dry and at time it verges on off dry with a touch of sweetness on the finish. Deep golden in colour. Good nose, light petrolly, light honey and lime. Mineral wine. Ok wine but not much going on here. 85
