  Poured from Coravin over 2 weeks. First pour was red cherry, red plum, pronounced aromas with lovely palate. A week later fruits mostly gone but still had good acid with sandy tannins.

  This Burguet Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Rouges du Dessus is still looking very youthful at this point of tasting but a nice transparency to the colour. The nose is a little reductive on entry, even with a little time in glass, but is very '09 in style with red/black fruits and a general ripe vintage feel. The palate offers more though with the same red/black fruits, some classic Vosne spice quality and most noticeably a very fine boned structure, the tannin management here is really spot on. This wine has great lift and a lifted medium bodied feel despite having plenty of concentration. It reminds me of Cathiard in style, modern, polished and well crafted in a good way and I like it a lot.

  Mini Burgundy Expo (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): The nose is a delicate and giving with spicy black cherry and aniseed. The palette has a mineral structure with generous fruit, chalky tannins and a solid black pepper finish.
