Took me some time to warm up to this - this was incredibly reductive at first, to the point I was wondering if this was a Tremblay wine with some burnt rubbery funk dominating the nose. Thankfully, all the reduction cleared with an hour or so in the decanter, and with air it started to show a core of really pretty red and dark berried fruit with some oak spice, earth, and light floral notes.

mostly lighter red fruits - cranberry, cherry, plum, hints of rose and tangerine, nice, elegant, and even sappy... but not for those looking to throw back a drink. questionable qpr

Pretty nose showing slightly sappier fruits; color med-light, very Volnay-like although it's actually a Vosne.
